"Want to see the baby."

This is a video of Ellis saying the words that I talk about in the next post. Her new favorite book is "The Little Engine that Could" and she knows all the toys in it. She also loves watching "the baby" (i.e. herself) in the video camera after I'm done making a video.

Ellis's ABC's "Airpeens, Bi-gulls, and Cahs"

I love this face too much
Checking out the car. There is a video related to this down below...
Bicycles! (a.k.a "Bi-gull")
Trying to figure out what Noah and Ollie are doing.
Posing with the boys
Noah had this idea to pose in height order. I love kids and their ideas! Anyways, this picture makes me kind of sad because I think Ellis looks so grown up and not like my little baby.

Here are a few pictures of Ellis playing. She has started really interacting with other kids. Our friends Joe and Amy, who live in Seattle, came to visit and Ellis loved playing with their sons. She loves kids who are just slightly older than her, around 3 or 4, so she had a really nice time following them around and mimicking whatever they were doing (as you can tell from the pics).

Over the last few weeks, Ellis has really started picking up tons of words and communicating more then ever. Her favorite things to talk about, by far, are modes of transportation. She cries "airpeens" every time she sees or hears one. The other morning as I was changing her diaper she started yelling "airpeen, airpeen" and I said, "No Ellis there aren't any airplanes in here" but then I realized that she was hearing one out her bedroom window. So funny! But "cahs" (yes, she has a bit of a Boston accent) are definitely her favorite. Vimal thinks it must be his genetics that make her love cars. She screams "Cah, Cah" the entire time we are on the highway, walking down the street, or playing at the playground. "Bi-gulls, Kucks (trucks), Bus" are frequently pointed out everywhere we go too. This age is definitely a lot of fun for both of us.

This is a video of Ellis playing in a "Cah" at a friend's house. I took this video too late so you can't see how excited she really was, but she loved it! We couldn't pull her off the car for about 30 minutes.

"Pop!"

This is a video of Ellis playing her name game. She started doing this about a month ago when we were visiting my family, particularly Pop (her grandfather) in Ohio. She points to people, like me or Vimal, and calls us by someone else's name. She knows, of course, that we aren't named what she calls us but I think she likes our reactions. And I love that she has a game that she plays with us. So funny. In this video, she was stuck on "Pop". Enjoy!

Erick's Visit

Since Ellis wouldn't cuddle with him, Erick snuggled up with "Da Bee" instead.
Ellis playing the "let's go to sleep, let's wake up" game with Erick
Erick was on Pacific Coast Time so Ellis would congregate all her toys around him while he was sleeping
Uncle Bro and The Phew (Erick calls her that because she was a 'neiceaphew' the whole time I was pregnant and 'the phew' stuck even after she turned out to be a girl.)
Swan!
She started to come down with something while Erick was here. This day was the beginning of her being sick, and I think you can see it coming in her eyes.
Riding the boat with her Uncle Bro
This is my favorite tree in Boston Garden. So gorgeous...
Playing with Uncle Bro on the swan boat.
Going down the slide (I'll post a video of this adventure too because it was pretty hilarious.)
Fenway park on the day Ted Kennedy died.
Flag at half-mass for our Senator
Green Monster (Two home runs went over this wall during the game!)
Bro and Sis

As you can tell by the photos, my brother came to visit last week. Vimal actually surprised me by getting him a ticket and it was great to be able to spend time with him and to have him spend time with Ellis (since he hadn't seen her since Christmas!) Anyways, as you can tell by the photos, we stayed busy by going into Boston to ride the swan boats in the Garden, and we also went to see a game at Fenway. Ellis definitely loved playing with her Uncle Bro too, even though she did get sick during his visit. And, by the way, she is feeling much better now.

I'm also going to post a few videos that I took while Erick was here. The first one is of Ellis and me on the swan boat. The second one is of Ellis and Erick on the slide. It's pretty hilarious because they have a little trouble sliding down. And the third one, if you don't get car sick watching it, is of Ellis saying "Uncle Bro" and "Mooshie Tiger". Uncle Bro we know, but we aren't sure who Mooshie Tiger is.
