A Summer Worth of Pictures

I'm sure that some of you have been wondering why I haven't posted since Easter. To say that life has gotten really busy would be an understatement. Since April a lot of things have changed for us. For starters, we sold our 2 bedroom condo and moved to a 3+ bedroom condo on the other side of town. The extra rooms have been great and Ellis has adjusted really well to her new surroundings.

The only thing she hasn't adjusted well to is the fact that I am no longer a stay-at-home-mom. I have started nursing school full-time and so, as a result, Ellis has a full-time nanny now. Neither of us was too thrilled with this at first but we're both getting more and more used to the idea.

Also, Ellis has become potty trained! And she starts preschool two mornings a week in October. (She had to be potty trained to go so that's why these two thoughts go together!)

Boston has been absolutely beautiful this summer so, while I'm only home on Fridays during the week, we have made the very best of it. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I'll try to be better about posting, but I'm not making any promises that I'll be able to keep up with it once school resumes again. For now--enjoy the pictures. She's growing so fast it's kind of hard to keep up!

Playing with mommy on my last day as a stay-at-home mom.
She, of course, was oblivious about how important the day was.
Happy girl! I knew that I was going to miss seeing this face all day.
My sweet girl.
Just look at how they are both sitting--like daddy, like daughter.
Dancing with Claire after a swim in the pool
Playing at the playground near my nursing school

We took her to an open house at her soon-to-be preschool.
I don't know why but I just love this picture.
Ellis, Esme and Claire--they have known each other since they were 1 month old.
Riding on the swan boats
Swimming (in Maine) with daddy
Strawberry Shortcake at the pool. A perfect summer treat.
Sandcastles or Mud Pie? It's the same difference to her.

He's going to hate that I put this picture on here. But I think it's sweet!
Carousel. Ellis calls it "The Carrot-Self" and she loves it.

This was her first McDonald's experience. She had four fries and asked for a Luna Bar.

Chillin' in daddy's glasses

Wearing an outfit that my mother used to wear when she was a child. (She's holding a picture of me wearing the same outfit in 1981.)
Three generations.
Four generations!
She adores her Nonna.
I mean, c'mon, what can I say?!?
